Montée du Chemin de Chambly |
|
[ FRANÇAIS ] Montée du Chemin Chambly is a section of the Route Verte # 1, between Longueuil and Chambly.
Its layout is mostly away from traffic and the surroundings of the track are well-appointed.
Gradually, the closer you get to Chambly, the better the decor looks like. You'll get to cross a long linear park on which some areas have even been forested.
The city of Chambly, with its historic center and its fort, is well worth a visit. Many restaurants with terrace, beautiful scenes: it is a very nice ride. The distance is about 20 km, so a round trip in the same afternoon is relatively easy. Perhaps you'll even have time to venture on the bike path of the Chambly Canal, which is built on the banks of the famous Richelieu historic canal that flows from Chambly to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. A distance of 20 km.
